That's it.... This will be my last entry...and it will end my stay in Hong Kong!

Soon I will close the blog once the new one is up and running

(P.S: I am tooo lazy to load the remaining pictures)

I remember I entered the very first day....not really feeling sad that I am leaving Singapore, maybe because I had my good friends with me then... I did not know what to expect. But I knew that I will have newfound freedom, at least for the next 5 mth without mum and sis breathing down my neck to do the housework or to even to be home by 12 midnight!

The first few days in Hong Kong, I went around with my best friend and his hubby...it was fun especially when they had other friends around! The first few days was great...but I was freezing in HK....tempreature went real low especially in the night!

When Eileen left, I recall being sad, caused now I am really all on my own, all my friends are back in Singapore and the remaining friends I had were the other two gals whom I know from SMU on this exchange trip....Joey (whom was my roomie) and Yuting who is staying a level below me.. Joey and myself was staying at level 13 while she is staying at level 12.

Joey is my beautiful roomie, whom lack no suitors! She often make me giggle like a mad gal! I think I have learnt a lot from her.... from dressing myself up to...speaking up for your own right! She is a gal whom speaks what she thinks and is not afraid of people challenaging her statement!

She showed me that...fashion comes in many different form! I really hope she would be able to find someone whom will love her and not hurt her! Love you lotsa babe!

Yuting is the another Singaporean.... this smart gal also lack no suitors...from koreans to europeans to chinese.... Too bad this gal is taken! Overtime, after mixing around with us too much....she had also learn the art of dressing up and looking different. This gal has a goal in life and I wish you all the best! I hope you will be able to achieve whatever you had set out for babe!

In fact, the 3 of us had very different taste when it comes to clothes and stuff! Still we really enjoyed each other company and constantly hang out together often! Life would have been sooo different without them around!

PolyU exchange (AECO) I would say they were great, they had been very helpful in helping the exchange students and had a lot of program for us, the exchange students...being as usual super entu about all the events that were organised, I tried my very best to join....City Orienteering was the first few event that ocurred...It was fun, I would say and we had a lot of fun knowing new people and making new friendship.

Following that, we had a city tour of HK....We went to the Convention Center, we went up to The Peak and we went to the Repulse Bay....the usual must visit places of Hong Kong.

All has a lot of actitivities as well, from dancing classes to dumpling classes to cooking competition and sports competitions. I stayed in CHENGDE, which is level 13 (for the girls) and level 14 (for he boys). I remember the first day when my hall committee members came knocking on our door, telling us to vote for them to be his year com. members. ROSA was the gal who spoke up once they realise that we actually speaks english! Let see what are some of the events which I have participated sooo far!

Maybe I was tooo free....recalling I really took part in ~ Single party, Cooking competition, Etiquette Dinning, Hip Hop Dance class, Stars Gazing, Kickboxing class, Heritage Tours, Volleyball competition, Badminton competition, Hotpot~Opening Dinner, Examination Dinner, High Table dinner.... That shouldbe about it.....

It was fun playing volleyball in HK, especially when the weather is cold, you would not even get to sweat..in fact I always had a hard time starting the game cause I was freezing whenever we start playing in the court...Though not very pro...still very fun ...and we always get free dessert from our tutor...super nice women!

I had also made a lot of friends on this trip, people whom I really treasured a lot and hope that we could continue to maintain our relationship even if we are sooo far away....Mainly my good friends were people from HK....do not asked me why...maybe cause I could learn cantonese from them... but still I love them lotsa, though some I kinda regret knowing them too late, only when I was about to leave, giving me no chance to know them better!

Overall, my Hong Kong trip had been fun...though I had my ups and my worries when I was there....I think an independent life is indeed I am consantly in search of...still at the end of the day occasionally you would miss home...but skype help me fill in the gap.

Living in hall had been fun for me tooo...how I wish I could be in their committee, getting invloved in all of their planning and excuting of their events... I love the idea that i had a gym, swimming pool, pool room and dance room all in 1 building.... good for a lazy person like to me to and exercise...and relax!! I really enjoy my only hostel life in SMU @ Poly...

For my 4 year in Uni, this had been one of my phase of my life!! I want to thank all my friends, for making my life in PolyU wonderful.....and memorable!!

WIthout you guys...my life would not have been sooo colourful and happy....

THANKS!...This will be a phase in which I will never forget!

Macua seemed to be part of HK to me!! But nope that is a fallacy...casued i need to use my passport to enter that country and it takes about an hour to reach there by the fast ship!

Travel card and the ticket..It cost me HK250 to get to macua...

Been rotting at home these days....looking for a job after Sammy and his cousins had return to HK... Had a great time conversing in cantonese the days he was here!

There had been a local production on televsion recently.... SWITCHED...talking about how the lifes of 2 gals, sisters, switched. One being a pretty star, whose life lacked no suitors. The other, being scared on the face with a huge birthmark.... A nice show in which I see great acting in FANN and the other gal ( forgot what her name is)...

Still, much truth is in that show..... guys normally showered gals with pretty faces with more attention and concern.... so much about inner beauty.... does Fann lacked that in the show??... I don't think so... in fact i think she is considerate and nice...unlike her BEAUTIFUL sister whom is beautiful only on the outside but EVIL on the inside.... STILL outlook is what it matters for you to get your way around I supposed!

So people..please look beyond beauty on the surface! BE kinder to the people around you!

One of the days, I went to Chung Chau with Ah wing!! I was supposed to meet another 2 friends then, but both had overslept and I was not even able to get them on their phone!! PIGS! HA

There was supposed to be parade when we were there! There will be a parade of little kids on super high poles....they will be dressed up to different themes such as doctors, teachers or even performers.... they will be hoisted on this pole which will be push around be a group of guys! Above is a given example!! I really pity the kid!! NOt an exactly super easy job! A super hot day!

Bao Shan....Tooo bad it rain the few days before and they are starting to rot...so the organisers had to put a piece of cloth around it to cover the ugly sight! Everyyear, there will be a competition of people fighting for "bao" from a mountain of bao...

This is the mountain that the people had to climb for this year!!

But i did not had the chance to witness the actual event cos it would be at the strike of midnight...which i considered too late for me to be present!

There were a lot of fishing boats in Cheng Chau...and lotsa of seafood places....but as there were only 2 of us, we did not have the chance to eat at these places...but I would want to be back again to try the seafood there!

At the end, we left the place at around 5++

Both of us were really tired out at the end of the day!

It was Joey bday quite some time ago...did not had the time to upload the picture!!
Greedy me!! Joey gave us a treat on her bday, which was quite unusual for me...cos the bday gal will normally be treated...but anyway!! The food was fantastic....it had been a long time since I last had buffet!!

Just came back from CHINA not tooo long and had friends coming from HK...so been busy all the day since i touch down from HK....

I'm finally back in Singapore.

The urge of wanting to come back has finally come true for me. Upon touching down, I saw the familiar buildings, the familiar coastal line, the familiar changi airport...... Once again I was happy to be home....Joey and myself just said to one another...." Welcome Home!!" I was just sooo happy that I cried....

We went for dinner after that and I continuously yak and yak for like it seemed I have not talk to mum and sis for ages...so much to tell...sooo much to talk about!! I had indeed miss my family!

Back home, the reflective flooring of the house seemed sooo unfamiliar...maybe I got too used to the checker flooring in PolyU hostel... My bed however on the other hand seemed super inviting.. I went to bed and slept continously for 12hrs!! I think I was too exhausted...and another 12 hrs last night!

Good to be home....my bed is sooo comfortable...just that once again, the nagging and the housework seemed to return...welll i supposed that is what happen when you stay with you family!!

Next phase of my life.."JOB HUNTING"

It was Buddha Birthday on the 24th, did not get a chance to go a bath the Buddha on that day cause I went to Cheung Chua for their Bun Festival! SO went to the conventional center on the 25th!..... to pray to the Buddha

Still it was nice and peaceful to be there.... tranquil and serene when in face of the Buddha...

Well! I hope it would be sunshine after rain again!! All the doubts that I had are already cleared, as I had said, I hate to have doubts especially with someone whom you think is very important to you!! At least to me, it is not right that way.....ANW I supposed I do posses some women instinct or maybe I just knew her tooo well enough!

I was mad...really mad....but I supposed after cooling down, it is no big deal really..."Think from her perspective" and perhaps that would be how I would react as well...!!

I believe everyone deserve a second chance and I did not want history to repeat itself... cutting myself totally whom I think is important to me...

SO...now I wish them all the best.... AFTERALL...I had wanted to introduce her to him right from the beginning!! Just glad that they are together now!! YEAP! CHEERS!

Taking pictures at the MTR!

Finished my exams on tues and Calista want to go out on Wed....Hence being the nice me!! I had to bring this little gal out!! Firstly we went shopping...we were bumping around till we decided to settle at H & M. I love H&M prices...and the best part...they have my sizes...unlike other part of HK!! Hate free sizes..cause they normally equals to " not my sizes" and that is normally the case everyway...cause HK gals are super skinny....

Anyway, we tried on like many pieces and I eventually settle for some accessories (as usual) and got Calista a gift for her Bday!! Cant wait for her Hyatt award winning dessert treat!! Tks babe!!

Finally, we ended up at Happy Valley!! Saw some races...I would say...horse racing is pretty much boring and I do not understand the excitement behind it!! Maybe if I am rich enough to own a horse I could tell you more about the excitement!!

I think the greatest problem in a relationship is that you do not get to control the behavioural of the other party... This is so when if they other party had a change of heart!! But this is also when the other party would be sad!! Maybe this is th emost interesting part of going into a relationship...at the same time!! I really had a lot of Fun cooking for everybody. I understand what they mean that when you cook and people really appreciated the stuff that you cook...You will feel really happy!!
I felt really happy that all of them were willing to taste my food and was able to finish all in fact!!

In the end I was sooo excited that i did really had dinner....just bits and pieces for tasting!!

Went to Festival Walk at Kowloon and went ICe-skating.... My first time on ICe and it is fun!!

I want to master this sport if I have the time....Kinda regret not doing it earlier!!Else i would have the time to learn it here!! It was really fun!!

Just came back from a KTV session with some Chinese and Singaporeans...yet to have a chance to go with the locals.... First time for me at HK KTV Green Box (aka Red Box in Singapore, apprently they are the same company...wondered why the change in name over here)... it was pretty cool, they had most of the songs.... The food and the drinks were quite cheap compared to those in Singapore...

It had been fun, everyone was crazy and we sung till our lungs almost burst!! Given that my chinese sucks...and I have a hard time recognising words back in Singapore...having traditional writing here at their KTV lounges does not help a single bit for me to sing!! Still learning along the way as I sing more and read more!!

Anyway....do not know why I am feeling so hungry all the way....been eating non stop for the past 24hrs... and we ended our singing session at MacDonals....been a long time since I last had MacDonals Breakfast(for the past 5 months..cos i had been waking up late)...Hotcakes rocks!!

Just came back from Lan Kwai Fung.... we ended at "The Carvern"...

We went with some locals...and 2 of the guys were first timer....but still it was good and fun! Crazy people!Too bad I did not managed to take any pictures though!

There are only some people whom you will have a lot of fun with if you were to go clubbing with!!and my roomie is one such person....I always have lotsa of fun with her around when I club!!! We fit well as a pair!!

Felt so much better today...only at night!!

We had "da pin lou" aka steamboat at the common area after which we had dessert!

Some people from my hall came over to my room for "tai di"....we drank as we play!! First time in my life to be drinking sooo much... clearing off some of the wine from the high table!!..I think I can sleep really well!!

Been talking to my best friend and some close friends!! I think talking works.... it let you vent all the stuff you had inside you!!

I cant sleep last night!!

My heart was feeling heavy..... not sure why that is so!!

Went to Sai Keung over the weekend with some finland guys whom we did not really know!! At the beginning, we wasted a lot of time waiting for people here and there!!

AT the end, we had some asians from Holland as well as some locals (finnish gf) with us!

And silly me...thinking literally that is a boating trip in a small lake, rowing the boating ourselves. SIGH! miss out lotsa of fun without my swimming stuff with me!

I hand my hands on fishing and apprently was able to caught quite a number of it! But according to the guy on the yatcht, they were good enough for soup only!!

The rest were swimming when we decided to head towards the beach cause Joey was feeling slightly seasick!!

Depressed day for me today..... it had been a long time since I had this feeling!!! must be the show.... that word....that sentence...never fails to make me sad!! ALways!!

" Treasure the people around you!"

How true this is!! A sentence that I will always reflect upon because I understand the feeling ... a feeling that not many can understand.... but yet how I wish I could tell the people around the importance of it!! I miss him.... really..... my heart aching whenever I think of it!

Another lesson learnt from the show.... it is Really hard to trust anyone on earth!!
Could you trust the person whom lie beside you in bed?
The friend whom you really believe in and thought you could trust?
Or are you just seeing the things what others want you to see, unable to see the reality in it?

Why is the world the way it is today? Why cant it be a better place to be in?

Sometimes I really wonder relationship is really quite frightening.... from the things I see around me... People change... or be flicker....they can never be satisfy and there is no forever it seemed... a friend it seemed can be your enemy in just moments...for perhaps the stupiest reasons in the world!!

Why cant life be simple?? With people caring more about each other and stop being a capitalist..

We stop by a recommended place for lunch and saw other POLYU students...how small can the world be!!
The meal cost about 10yuan each....CHEAP!!and i love their egg with green pepper!!

We cycle around for 1 day...visiting places and farms...NICE

I'm getting old and I can feel it!!

Yesterday, I was playing badminton with some friends when I "think" i sprain my feet... Yes THINK is the word cause it did not hurt at all yesterday and yet today I am beginning to feel its after effect!!

Now I am in the library blogging and preparing for my presentation tomorrow and thats it...no more presentation and soon it would be the battle for all my tests and reports.... 2 test, 2 report and 3 exams.....

Anyway, I will be having a Volleyball match later.... I really hope we could win the match later cause it will allow us to be in the final four... It might be a bit difficult for us to get champs for volleyball. Nevertheless at least allow us to get a sliver or a bronze....crossing my fingers and hope that we can get into the final four...!!!

School is coming to an end soon... and the next phase of my life will begin soon... DREAD it!!

To Guilin With Love....

Took a 16hrs of ride from HK to Shenzhen to Guili...
Weather....Freaking cold...a close to 9degree as of the moment that I am blogging....

The best part about the trip...it is really free and easy...the worse part... we have to walk a lot because we did not sign up any tour!! Still, walking in a cold weather is much better than walking in a warm weather...

Looking at the clothes that i have brought for this trip...i supposed at the end of the day...i would be wearing back the same few clothes... to think im even crazy enough to bring 1 shorts and 1 sleeveless...

In this trip, I supposed the people on the trip have wide differences...some wanting to explore more...other wanting to really go on a hoilday... I guess differences is the reason why some people rather go on a trip alone.... afterall, you would want to enjoy your trip your way...not somebody else way!!Moreover, we have 7 of us on this trip...it is not easy and i know it...especially for the organizer... SO tks a lot Jerry for all the effort and time....!!

Lets talk about the hostel that i am staying in last night...it is called "Flowers Hostel" ( if i got the name right)... a nice cozy place.... I love the lobby the best.... a place where i could surf the net, read some books as well as perhaps to have a nice cup of coffee...( though i do not really drink coffee) Bed is ok...cos we are taking the Bunk bed.... good enough for a night..afterall, it is just 35rmb.... what can you expect out of it!!

Food is cheap...really cheap...i had a meal last night where i was supposed to select my own dishes and the dude will cook it for us...with a claypot of white rice ...cooked really well... with a bowl of soup with some veg in it...COST.....5rmb= S$1..yes...

Breakfast was also cheap....2.5rmb for like 8 dumpling , 0.5rmb for one "bao" and 2rmb for a bowl of noodles... what can i say?? But food is really oily here....maybe that is why i am having a tummy ache.. Been having some cough and cold as well...i guess it must be the bad weather... hope i will stop coughig soon!

WE WON....I knew we could get the Gold Trophy for our hall!!

Anyway, been great to have won for my hall...just that I am super disappointed that my service still sucks...but on a lighter note...it is actually improving... I guess the best part about this exchange is to be able to play badminton since it is really hard for me to find people whom plays it ...welll...furthermore...

Hence, this inter-Hall is the given opportunity...for me to get involved in school activities..

Anyway, after the game, a tutor..bryan offer to give us a treat of "da pin lou"( their form of steam boat)...and it was super yummy...miss the days that I could eat out with such a huge groups of friends...Love it when i get to have dinner with a big group....

I am procrastinating.... I will be going to Gulin and some other places in China in 4 days time... but before that I will have to complete and finished 3 projects and studying of some tests... Furthermore, I have some designs to work on for one of the project.... BUT i am procrastinating.. because I am lazy....

Been involved with the Interhall Volleyball and Badminton in school... This is really my last chance to be invloved in school activities... work will be my next stage in life.... Today we had a Vball match...we lost and are currently 2nd in place in the group... 2 more set to fight it out before we will have to chance to get to the finals...

The tutor of my hall was nice enough to treat us to dessert, given out horrendous performance.

Apprently, this is Green Tea shave ICe ...with red beans and small little rice ball.... there are also these cheese cake look alike pieces.... the combination was fantastic....Nice

Prior to that, I popped by a friend's room who were supposed to play majong with some friends.. At the rate that they are playing....GOSH!! They can finish a round in like 5mins...super fast and super cool!! Just like in the movies.....I think I would not have the chance to learn from them.... they must think...im super slow if I were to play with them...IN FACT..... I think I might lose like mad.... COOOLZz....indeed!!!

Went to AIA carnival on Wednesday!! It was quite fun and cheap i would say, especially if you are an avid rides lover....We paid about 120HK (aka $S24) and had 25 tokens for the booth games and a whole day of unlimited rides.... To think back home we will have to pay quite a lot of play at Uncle Ringo!! And i got a PINK cute giraffe!!

Went to some China's cultural village over one of the weekend...Hence, Ive cross the borders over to Shenzhen...seriously it is not as bad as it seemed...in fact it is rather convienent for us to get there just from Hk and apprently based on most of my friends, shopping there is good!!

Going clubbing with the exchange students was a terrible mistake....

Went back to SIngapore with the only chance to visit Zouk on Wednesday because I had to stay at home to help with house cleaning over the weekends, went out with a group of friends from NTU...and we had a lot of fun....never fail to enjoy myself when im with them....

Initially, was kinda sad to know that they might cancel the whole outing...was really glad they were able to make it in the end... guess the next time when I can go, it would be 4 mths later!!

Was invited to a friends place for dinner just a while ago...and the bus ride took about an hr to reach her place...but it was quite fun and was an experience to feels how it like to have a dinner at her place.................

Food that was prepared by her mom......which was super tasty...love the soup and the claypot chicken the best... will want to try to learn from her mom how to cook these dishes soon i hope...

I managed to collect some hong bao on this trip to my friends house..... and her parents and grandma were super friendly... sharing with us lotsa about the life in HK..... Just came back from Singapore to Hong Kong...mummy and sis went to the airport to send me!!! Think im am seriously going to miss the days of disturbing my sis!!

City Orienteering on SAt

Last sat, I had a wonderful time in Hong kong. There was a city orienteering program (aka Amazing Race) organised for the exchange students by the school... Basically we were supposed to run around Hong KOng...eating some of their food and finding places apart from the touristy places.

We had a small group of 3 gals only and 4 guys...and most of the time ,the guys were the ones running and we, the pitiful gals, have to follow our groups guys.....which were super competitive and fun ( of course!! Nt ill be cursing and swearing at them) ..... we were running most of the time and did not even had the time for LUNCH!! OMG...i managed to even skip one meal yah!

Yeap!! Today was my bday and i was thinking months ago that perhaps being here alone, I might have to spent the day maybe by the harbour front, just enjoying the cool breeze....but thanks to the wonderful friends that I have here, my bday wasnt that loney afterall!!! I slept till 1pm noon today and was super hungry by the time we settle at the restaurant where we had high-tea buffet..........
Veg is the best starter...with all my fav Ham and smoke salmon....

ANyway, after dinner we went shopping around and I got a nice top as a gift from my roomie....which i will wear durng CNY.... and we decided to walk all the way to MONG KOK to have our neoprints taken....super nice pic....of course it is bcos the super pretty "models"..hee

Then, we stop by this shop...and had a good lesson on how we had wrongly wore our bra...

SIGH!! Sagging breast is not cool....

Anyway, i got a gift from this shop b'cos it was my bday that day...soooo cool

Then, we went had steamboat for dinner....and there was this funnie sugarcane drink that tasted quite nice...it is supposed to have some cooling effects for the "hot" pot that we are having.......there is sugarcane, carrot, water chestnut and some white herbs in it

After dinner it was an hr to the end of my bday.....then we just headed home...feeling tired and SUPER full............for me.....it was a SUPER happy day!!!

The first three weeks in HK...disneyland

I came to HK a week eariler because my best friend came with me to HK...so for the first week, i basically stayed with her in her hotel and went around the Island with her...we pretty much did not do much just went around eating and shopping...we also went to the disney land and the peak which i really enjoy very much, especially when you are going with people whom you love sooo much....

Really miss the days when she was here in HK with me.......was really very sad when i had to part with her at the MTR(aka MRT)....guess her presence here for the first week did make me less home sick...yeap gals are like this yah!!

hey hey....finally ive set up a blog again...did wanna kp my things private...but i supposed soo much had happen for these few weeks with my stay in HK that i just want to share it with my friends..... SO i make it a point to finish this blog on my special day...as a gift for myself.....but still it is not exactly as pretty as I had wanted......but still I'm working on it...trying to work out a nicer pic...but still...here it is...hopefully i will have time to upload all the photos soon!!!
